At NAR Fine Carpentry, we offer many Green solutions to many of your remodeling needs.  Even if you are just replacing cabinetry, we offer non-formaldhyde particle board and low VOC finishes, recycled countertops and can help you choose many other attractive green products.  Some of the green products we offer include:

Cabinets: Columbia Cabinets with Skyblend Particle Board, Crystal Cabinets with Greencore, Plyboo, Bamboo and Lyptus doors or Engineered Veneers or Laminates, or FSC Certified woods.  

Both Columbia and Crystal hold certification through the KCMA's Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP).  This means that a company must meet certification requirements in areas of air quality, product and process resource management, environmental stewardship, and community relations.

Countertops: Vetrazzo, Icestone, Richlite, Caesarstone, Qwinique Reclaimed Butcher Block.

GreenCore is Crystal's new environmentally-friendly cabinet line that offers a multitude of options to design healthy and sustainable custom cabinetry. GreenCore allows customers to create their cabinetry by choosing green materials and features that are especially important to them and their projects. With GreenCore cabinetry, customers may choose from an array of green features:

  • no-added urea formaldehyde boxwork

  • wood species certified according to the Forest Stewardship Council criteria

  • low-emitting water-based finishes

  • recycled materials

  • rapidly-renewable materials

The above green products are available in Crystal's frameless and framed line.

SkyBlend Is a Green Build Product.  Roseburg SkyBlend is a specified green particleboard panel. It is SCS and EPP certified to be 100% pre-consumer recycled wood fiber particleboard and has no Urea Formaldehyde added during the manufacturing process. SkyBlend combines low emission standards, certified recycled content, and sustainable raw materials, with the reliability and proven industry track record of wood based particleboard.  Now offered by Columbia Cabinets.

 

 

In addition to using sustainable or recycled products, using energy efficient appliances, windows, doors, insulation, solar panels, utilizing natural light and installing new water fixtures and tankless water heaters will help achieve a "greener" living space, while conserving our earths resources.
